Truth Squad Update – questionable mailbox stuffers as primary nears

With the help of citizen tipsters like you, the Truth Squad continues to earn daily media coverage across Michigan for our efforts to watchdog political ads in this campaign season.

The Metro Times offered a glowing profile this week, as did WDET’s Craig Fahle Show, . And Lansing talk radio host Walt Sorg hosts a special Truth Squad segment every Friday morning.

Our latest foul calls…

FLAGRANT FOUL: Against Flint-area legislative candidate Linda Kingston for blatant resume padding in a campaign flier.

WARNING: To Andy Dillon for overstating his accomplishments as a state leader in an era of pronounced dysfunction in Lansing.

FOUL: To Rick Snyder for claiming to be the only candidate to create jobs and for touting unspecific tax and reform plans.

FOUL: To Pete Hoekstra for misleading statements about the size of state government, and blanket pledges to cut spending and regulations and reform the tax code without offering details.
