The Entrepreneurial Agenda

The Small Business Association of Michigan has just released a new entrepreneurial agenda for the state. There is much common ground between that policy agenda and the common sense ideas many citizens discuss when you put ‘em in a room and listen to them talk about the kind of Michigan future they want:

Focus state investments on companies that have the best plan to commercialize. Broaden the focus of state investment beyond traditional industries. Make Entrepreneurial Education a statewide priority. Change the state budget to incentivize universities to get research out of the universities and into the market. Make the public sector more efficient and accountable.

If you’ve taken part in the Michigan’s Defining Moment Public Engagement Campaign, you’ve no doubt heard some or all of those suggestions in your “Community Conversations.”
