Michigan is the Best Location to Live by Randy Parlor

I have lived in Michigan my entire life and have no desire to leave. People sometimes complain about the economy and the tough times that we’ve faced over the past 5 years. Yet fail to mention that Michigan has provided outstanding opportunities for many more people than those that have been affected by changes in our economy.

Anyone desiring to work can find employment as well as other neighbors, organizations, non-profit, churches, and government agencies willing to help them provide the necessities of life (shelter, food, clothing, and transportation). As a matter of fact, this community assistance generally provides beyond the person and family’s need in that they are given so much that they are able to obtain many desires (toys for children, etc.).

Michigan is a place where an average income can turn into great wealth when a person/family are good stewards (managers) of the money they earn and have been given. We even have a governor who does her best to look out for state employees best interests, to ensure that they receive a suitable raise each year instead of being looked at as people who have caused tough economic times.

Our great wealth is our goodness to others and our helping hand for those who oppressed and in need. As a Christian who loves Jesus Christ, I am proud to say that I’m a citizen of Michigan because there is no other state like it in terms of the values described above. I certainly hope and pray that others will become as I am: in Christ recognizing the blessing that God has made Michigan in their lives.

One last thing, you cannot beat Michigan weather. No great natural disasters, protected by the Great Lakes, beautiful scenery, and many unique and unusual places for tourists and citizens to visit each year. In Michigan, one simply has the best of all possible worlds!!!
