Michigan boasts some of the very best hunting and fishing anywhere in the United States. Anglers and hunters vote with their waders and boots. Only two states (Texas and Pennsylvania) have more hunters than Michigan. Only four states (Minnesota, Florida, Texas, and California) have more anglers than Michigan.

AFFECTING THE TOP, MIDDLE AND BOTTOM LINE
It is great to see an effort being made to create new ways for dealing with old systemic problems. While our policies are well intentioned our practices have not sang the same tune. Michigan has always been a leader. It’s our chance to again step forward. Merely shaking up and reformulating the bureaucracy will not do this time. This seems to happen whenever there is a new Governor. Throwing dollars at problems isn’t resulting in any sustainable growth. It does make sense to inventory just what strengths we still have, our people and resources, and only then come up with a whole new approach, funded sensibly.
A CRAZY THOUGHT Why don’t we build our own oil refinery ? Would we not all benefit from this ?
