It seems to me that we are always ready to criticize but seldom ready to give thoughtful consideration to the real problems facing us.
The first thing I would like to change is the term limitations. Why don’t people realize that it takes time to learn your way around and to understand the myriad pressures surrounding issues.
As a last comment, the recall effort is crazy. The election is next fall and the recall election, if successful, would take place next summer. What a waste of time and money!!!!

Similar to Eunice Burns comments, there is too much fingerpointing going on between the politicians and also their supporters. I get too many critical emails from one political party making negative statements about the other without any backup to prove their value. We are becoming a nation of rich versus poor. The “them and us” mentality! The divide is getting wider. The rich are getting richer while the middle class is slowly slipping into the lower class. It’s supposed to be the other way around. The only problem I see with term limits are that the time an elected official can serve, especially in our House and Senate, is too restrictive.

Give a good first impression of Michigan by replacing all those depressing DEAD END street signs with NOT A THROUGH STREET signs like we have in California.
