I LOVE Michigan and I’m so glad my French & Native American Indian
ancestors settled here so many years ago. I’m proud to have been
raised on Lake Erie and savored the abundance of nature in and around
the marshes. I’ve enjoyed a lifetime of camping, boating, and fishing
on so many of Michigan’s pristine lakes. Now as an adult, my children
also have been active participants in everything from the St. Ignace
Fourth of July Celebrations to the Grand Haven Beach Sand Sculpture
Events, and so many others in between. We’ve traversed our entire
nation and have many priceless memories but it’s our home state of
Michigan that we embrace and would fight for – heart and soul! As
native Michiganders, it’s our duty to see to it that Michigan stays
strong. Setting higher education goals and supporting all of our
state’s colleges and universities. This will help create great leaders
for our state. Greater investment in the educational goals of our
students will pave the way to prosperity and job growth. It’s a
one-of-a-kind, beautiful state with so much to offer!
