Get loud on behalf of Michigan this summer

Auto plants may idle, but you don’t have to. Here are three ways to get heard in Michigan:

1. Testify on the need for reforms. A special legislative commission will tour the state in coming months, gathering input on recommendations to shave hundreds of millions of dollars in state budget spending. (Hint: The Center’s issue guide can serve as your talking points.) We will publish hearing dates as soon as they are made available.

2. Run for office. The White House project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to electing more women to public office, regularly holds Michgan bootcamps for interested prospects.

3. Host a Community Conversation. The Center for Michigan is halfway to our goal of 10,000 participants in small, town hall meetings to develop a common ground agenda for the 2010 statewide elections. We’re now holding a half-dozen meetings per week throughout every corner of the state. Join in today!

Anyone suggest Michigan Build an awesome Supermax prison in northern mid-michigan, maybe underground and take the Gitmo Detainees?

What panzya__es are these other state’s that are afraid of these guys as if holding a mass murderer that eats brains isnt as dangerous as it gets?

Couldnt Michigan use the Funding and jobs?
Arent we laying off prison staff and guards?

    Wouldnt it add construction jobs?
Wouldnt it add some spotlight to our state’s problems?

    Just an idea.
