Campaign "Road Show" interviews 50+ candidates in three days

Two years ago, Center for Michigan staff hit the campaign trail and met one-on-one with 50 candidates in 50 days to discuss our findings from dozens of statewide community meetings.

This week, we’ve met with more than 50 candidates in just the past three days. And we’ll personally interview more than 150 more to get their reaction to the new “10,000 Voices” citizens agenda for Michigan’s future.

And you can watch and hear exactly what those candidates have to say.

This candidate “Roadshow” is a new partnership between The Center for Michigan, Detroit Public Television and the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

All through primary season this summer, a Roadshow crew will travel the state. They have more than 200 interviews scheduled with state House and Senate candidates running for dozens of “open” seats — those in which no incumbent is returning.

Here’s the Roadshow travel schedule — check it out to see when we’re coming to your community and stop by to pick up Center for Michigan publications or meet candidates…

This week, our interviews have concentrated on the following races in Southeast Michigan….
