I would love to do this in person but due to the economy I watch my two great grandbabies because my granddaughters have to work many hours to support themselves.

About the State the first thing that has to go is term limits. I was against this when it was introduced, I voted against it and I haven't changed my opinion. Democracy can handle term limits at the ballot box. What has happened with term limit is some very ambitous young people ran for State offices at the encouragement of the party Leaders. They were at the mercy of those that supported their election, and I don't mean the citizens.

Secondly, we need to change the way the voting on the Legislature Floor happens. Having watch Michigan Legislature in action, if you are not an insider you have no idea what they are doing, they never ID the bill number with words. The voting is quick and never explained. It is worse then the Feds by far and needs to be changed. If you want the public involved they need to know what is going on.

Third, I strong feel that we only need a part time legislature, they should meet three or four times a year Three would work best, they would meet the first two weeks in committee, then take their work to the floor. This cuts out all of this usless stuff that is happening to satisfy only the Politcal outside leaders and special interest.

There needs to be more televising of committee debates again what happens in Lansing is like a black hole. I can tell you exactly how a bill gets through to the Presidents desk, but it is a real mystery how a bill get to the Governor's desk.

Lately, We need far more education on the Governmental process, they should be offered as extended classes in the Community Colleges, High School, Senior Citzen groups. There is such a lack of knowledge and without knowledge there is no caring. Thank you for this opportunity
