When I first got involved in Michigan Defineing Moments I was not in public office. Since then I have been elected to trustee for out township in the short time I have been office I could write a short story on governmental waste. To many citizens feel that there is nothing they can do about bad government. I simply will not accept that there is nothing that can be done. I have just started a web site for out community to inform the residents of what happens in our board meeting. My plan is to have each item on the meeting agenda on the site and a resident can click on each item and listen to discussion on that particular issue.That way they will not have to listen to the whole meeting but listen to the what they are interested in. I will also have a community section that will be used business and events in our community.
If you don't even try you will never make a difference.

Subject: Free Tuition
Result: Students enter free and exit free.
Restated: Graduates don't stay in Michigan.
Reason: No Jobs – No Stay
Effect: Other places benefit from Free Tuition
Conclusion: Free Tuition is NOT the answer
Prerequisite to Free Tuition: JOBS
Cause: Outsourcing by NAFTA & CAFTA
Remedy: Rescind NAFTA & CAFTA & Outsourcing & Become Innovative, True FAIR TRADE LAWS that Work, Enforcement of Copyrights & Patents Worldwide & Not Allow Illegal Copycats by foreign powers.
End Result: Stronger US Economy, Non-endorsement of Dictatorships (ie, China), Stronger U.S. Pride & Self Reliance that the U.S. Needs Now.
