Michigan is a great place to raise a young child. We moved to the Upper Peninsula where anywhere along the shoreline is an instant beach, where a drive up a county road is an education in the woods and trails, and the weather on any given day of the year presents a new variable with which to adapt. All these are simple pleasures and experiences to enjoy with your child, every day.As they get older, the cultural opportunities abound. Concerts, festivals, events, and classes are numerous and varied, to touch upon an array of special interests for great exposure to what life has to offer.

The resources of our hard-working, tough Michigan residents is valuable and a gem. To capitalize on our state's asset would keep Michigan going strong.

We need to keep a balance of work, beauty, and integrity to make all our people well-rounded, successful, and happy. The transition from an easy-going, simple childhood to an educated young adult is vital! Our daughter is 11 now, so we will continue guiding her, in the state of Michigan.
