They Got a Job, in Kalamazoo

Southwest Michigan touts 4,600 new jobs this year.

Potato processors. Container companies. Biotech companies. They're all finding reasons to grow in and around Kalamazoo.

The Kalamazoo Promise certainly helps.

So does a can-do community spirit.

The voice behind Share Kalamazoo is Blaine Lam, who has long served as a sort of Mr. Fix-it for all sorts of civic and business groups.

As Michigan works to recover, Kalamazoo leads the way.
