The Big-Buck Potential of Alternative Energy

Michigan's strong manufacturing base positions the state to take full advantage of the move toward alternative energy.

Thirty-five Michigan companies are supplying component parts, engineering or other services to the wind industry

Up to $3.5 billion in new investment and 22,000 alternative energy jobs are possible in Michigan in the next few years.

Those promises of “Economic security through energy diversity” come from Jim Croce, head of NextEnergy. Check out Croce’s full pitch for alternative energy, presented this week at a Michigan State University conference.
