As we've traveled Michigan this fall, holding dozens of Community Conversations and steadily building a citizens script for Michigan's future, the insights are striking. Consider these quotes from Community Convesations in Interlochen, Midland, Livonia and Howell in the past week:
Despite the challenges, Michigan entrepreneurs are marketing new ideas every week.
Check out, for example, 41Pounds.org, a Ferndale company making a buck by keeping the unsolicited marketing trash out of your mailbox.
And check out Members Health, a controversial health care membership organization in Traverse Citythat, for a monthly fee, seeks to drive down its members costs through more intensified visits with doctors and preventative care.
Michigan is changing. Are you?

Many of our citizens have no confidence in our elected officials. "Absolutely no one cares what happens to the next person. In particular politicians who have been elected to represent the interest of the people seem to be representing themselves only." Examples: Failure to complete a balanced budget so that the state can continue its business. Failure to vote on issues afraid that they will not be reelected by their constituents. Failure to look for alternatives before industries move out of the state. Playing the "blame game".
