Michigan, The Great Lakes State by Matthew Bunting

By The Center for Michigan - November 30, 2007

Michigan is my home state and in my opinion is still very undeveloped, culturally and structually. Michigan has many great resources at its disposal that makes it a great place to build, develop, and envision for a better and more economically sound State. I love the Great Lakes that surround the Lower and Upper Penninsula, and the abundance of state parks and forests that are available for exploring. The fact that Michigan has four true seasons, fall - spring - summer - and winter, all equally about the same number of months also help to make michigan a unique and exciting place to live. I believe Michigan needs more exposure to let people know just what this state can offer them. If you love enjoying the great outdoors, then I believe you need to at least visit this state once to see for yourself all of the great opportunities that Michigan would have instore for you. Michigan's economy has taken a small beating, but the people here are strong and have the will to survive, and will help to grow and advance Michigan as a leader amongst all of the States.
