I've lived in Michigan my whole life, I've went to preschool, elementary, high school and I'll be finishing up my college degree at Eastern Michigan University soon. I love Ann Arbor and the feeling it has to it, unfortunately the job market is so bad that I will probably have to end up moving out of state when I am finished with my degree. Since I am a Fashion Merchandising major I expected that to happen anyways, but if our economy was better we might be able to get more companies to come to Michigan. Ann Arbor has the potential to be something even greater than it already is and one day I would like to see that happen. My whole family lives here and the thought of leaving the only state I've ever known is really daunting at times but I know one day it will happen. Michigan has a lot to offer and I'm sure a lot of the country or even world doesn't know that. Traverse City is absolutely beautiful, that is probably one of my favorite places in all of Michigan. I also love Troy and the up scale feel of it and how busy it is all the time, it reminds me of being in New York City or Chicago. I love the fact that we have so much water around us, it makes our state so much more beautiful. Detroit has changed so much since I was a little kid, we never went there for anything and now that I'm older I can see things such as Greektown and all the casinos and bars that I never knew were there. Also during the Holidays they have activities going on now and I think that's exactly what this state and city needs, is a little holiday spirit. Michigan has been a great place growing up and it always will be home to me.
