Republican and Democratic legislators who need to work together in coming weeks to avert state budget disaster need look no further than Troy for inspiration. Rather than engage in the normal guerilla warfare of local politics, the donkeys and elephants in Troy are co-sponsoring civil debates covering the issues in that city's fall election.
