Detroit Free Press - Ron Dzwonkowski: "State Tax Gap"

Early next year, the Michigan Legislature -- with a boatload of new members still hunting for the Capitol restrooms --- will have to grapple with the demise of the Single Business Tax and a looming hole of nearly $2 billion in the state budget. That's almost 20% of all the money the Legislature actuallly controls, or about the cost of the state prison system.
