Beaches and Backgrounds

I grew up on Michigan's West coast. I remember every summer going to Lake Michigan to play in the sand and warm sun. The ride there was not very long, but I always lost myself staring at the trees as we passed them in the car. After the years passed Holland Michigan began to turn into buildings and businesses. I soon wondered if it was the same route we always took; M-40 then a turn, it was surly it. The trip there seemed to get shorter, but once we were there I was still pleased. I enjoyed burring myself in the sand and listening to the waves crash into the shore. The lake and the sand never failed to please my imagination. Although I have now moved far away, I always find myself wandering back there for just a few days of Michigan's beauty. I see Michigan as a State of trees, water, and sand. Areas filled with hours of recreational fun; a wonderful get away.
